This year for you
This period represents a sense of completion but also of endings and is a time for rest. Every phase of a cycle is meaningful because it is an important and indispensable part of the whole. The different phases are not separate, they are intimately connected to each other. This part of the cycle is similar in meaning to that of winter, when nature sleeps as cold and darkness set in. Now is a time to withdraw from the world, for reduced activity, conservation of energy and repose. While nature sleeps, in the fertile earth beneath the decaying winter landscape seeds lay dormant. Since this is a passive period, you should focus on rest, recuperation and good nutrition. Activities concerned with your internal world and spiritual life are favoured whereas you may find it difficult to find the desire, motivation and enthusiasm to pursue material gains and worldly ambitions. While you may come up with many clever dreams and schemes now, you are likely to lack the energy and determination to follow them through. As often happens during winter, there may be times when you feel lethargic, lacking in libido and vitality. You may feel more sensitive and irritable, you may have a tendency to worry unnecessarily and may feel less sociable and unwilling to listen to others advice or opinions. You may also occasionally experience a sense of loss or depression. This is only natural now since sooner or later every cycle must end so a new one can begin. Activities and interests that are favoured now and which may bring recognition and success are those associated with intellectual, mystical and artistic pursuits. The seeds for the new cycle that will soon be underway are already planted, deep within you, and when the time is right they will emerge.
